Part 13: A Year at a Glance ~ Casino Night

ESRI at the "Met" !!!  The Columbia Metropolitan Conference Center that is...and Casino Night was the theme!  Are you kidding me?  we did come from Vegas Baby!  We couldn't wait to start designing this one!
Inspired by the colors in the logo of Kelly Green, Royal Blue and Black we first created a rendering of our Casino Race & Sports Book design.  Check it out...

With just a month before the event date, we got the call that we had won the bid !! As one of our bigger events for the year, we called in all the crew as well as our friends and experts at casino gaming, All In One Entertainment out of North Carolina and one of our premier local DJ companies Party Time DJ's to pull this together.   Below is a photo library of the design features that we presented in the video.

See how amazing they look from Concept to Reality.....

The Casino Race & Sports Book

LED Up lights in Green And Blue surround the room for casino ambiance.  Linens in Black Velvet Crush, or White Satin with Black Sheer Overlays embellished with tiny crystals add that Casino Sparkle!

Casino Gaming included the famed Money Wheel, Black Jack Tables, Craps, Roulette,Video Horse Racing and of course Slot Machines!

Centerpieces of over sized cocktail glasses with flashing submersible lights alternated the tables

Fun table games like Yahtzee and Liars Dice were available for guests to play

The guest list became so large that the Dining Salon and gaming room merged together.

Yes that is a live fish!  I love creating the unexpected in my designs and guests were certainly surprised by this unusual way we added some fun and conversation to an otherwise simple highboy.

A simple and modern stage backdrop for the DJ with our white table top bar, a custom made 6 foot logo sign and 10 foot crystal columns in Green

Table games not your style?  How about a game of pool on our claw foot pool table?

Or maybe a game of Foosball?

What casino event would be complete without an LED Lighted bar.  Our Custom designed Chameleon Bar lit in blue with custom logo insert added just the right touch of club vibe we were hoping for and enhanced by our 10 foot crystal columns up lit in Green for an eye catching contrast really Wow'd the Crowd!

Drawing the eye to the Ceiling our  4 foot LuminAires make another appearance, this time in blue. A stunning ceiling treatment especially at 16 feet!

Every casino has a lounge.  So our Black Leather and Charcoal Suede sofas had to enhance this event.

We really had a great time showcasing this event for the ESRI User Conference Attendees
The guests really enjoyed themselves!
Thank you ESRI for selecting Carolina Event Services to make your Casino Night Memorable!

Part 12: A Year at a Glance ~ A Red Rose Wedding

"A Red Rose Wedding" is what my bride said to me in her tiny girlish voice. Chanyel was so excited about everything to do with the planning for her wedding! You know, kind of excitement that even if you were reading an email you could feel, and it just makes you smile...  And I was excited for her. However, this wedding was my husband's baby as I was headed to Lansing, North Carolina for another event that night.

With the colors Red, Black & White...

,,,what better way to establish  elegance then with a VIP Red Carpet Entry

Inspired by her save the date cards we created artwork to be hung in draped vignettes around the room.  The Panels in White Satin were up light in natural white light to highlight the artwork. The entire drape panel vignette was accented by red satin swag.

Between the Vignettes Red LED Up Lights cast a brilliant red glow about the room.  Tables were dressed with black floor length linens and white napkins for a pop of color.  Our Gold Napoleons Chairs with Black Velvet  Chair Pads added a stylish elegance around the table.

A perfect cake for  this pretty wedding reception, also inspired by the artwork

Thank you to Chanyel and her hard working Mom. Both lovely ladies!  We had a lot of fun coming up with a creative way to use the timeless Red Rose in this design of simple elegance.

Part 11: A Year at a Glance ~ Country Chic Wedding

Known by such names as Country Chic, Vintage Chic, Shabby Chic, this design theme has blossomed into renowned popularity.  I adore this design theme choice as I get such excitement out of re-purposing vintage items into something unique and clever for my clients.  Such is the case for this Wedding that came to us.  Slated for October 1st and another wedding also on the same day in Columbia.  My husband and I  parted ways for the day and I drove up to Lansing, North Carolina to a beautiful place called "On the Windfall".   The Bride and Groom were traveling from Louisiana for a countryside destination wedding brought to us again by GoNC High Country.
As I drove up the mountain it began to snow !!! The wind gusting to 30+ mph !!!  As my assistant and I located the long winding road to the property we couldn't help but marvel at what a beautiful time of year to have a wedding.  The trees in every shade that the bride selected for her Big Day!  Chocolate Browns, Deep Cranberry, Pumpkin Orange and Dark Yellows painted the tree line as we continued to wind down the country road to the tent.   It was very cold and with the winds blowing snow flurries about, we were thankful for the heater in that tent!

The ceremony was to take place outside that evening. The misty wet snow flakes and chilling wind played a factor all day, but in the end everyone bundled up for a quick rustic outdoor ceremony overlooking the pond.  Lanterns with harvest colored flowers lined the natural aisle.

Our 3 foot Vintage Unity Lantern with a Unity Candle inside awaited the Bride and Groom.

Simple Orange Gerber Daisies,Creamy Vendella Roses and Cranberry colored Hypericum Berries made up the four Bridesmaids Bouquets.  One for each daughter....

Boutonnieres with tiny red and white sweetheart roses, Orange Gerbers, Cranberry Hypericum and sprigs of Wheat for the Groom and Bestman.
The Bridal Bouquet with Orange Gerber Daisies, Red and White Roses, and Mango Mini Cala Lilies was wrapped with Brown Satin Ribbon, embellished with tiny pearls.

Inside the tent guests were greeted with Hand carved Pumpkins

Centerpieces alternated the tables.  One in rustic urns, lavish with Fall Colored Gerbers, Sunflowers and roses to name a few.  The other, bringing the outside in, with smaller variations of the Unity Lantern.

Mahogany Chivari Chairs with Ivory Chair Pads & Buckwheat Tweed Floor length Linens round out this simple but elegant look...

Last on the list, what better way to complete a wonderful night of dinner and dancing then to toast marshmallow's around a late night bonfire!  This custom made sign my husband created from 80 year old salvaged barn wood, inspired the perfect invite to this new families fun event!

Thank you to On the Windfall, GoNC High Country and the Rivett Family for inviting us to be a part of this truly special day!

Part 10: A Year at a Glance ~ Boone Ceremony

Small but Mighty.....
While we did not do much for this
simply stated Wedding at the Inn at Crestwood in Boone, North Carolina.  The elegance stated with simple white drape speaks for itself.  How can you compete with that natural background!

Thank you to GoNC High Country for thinking of us!

Part 9: A Year at a Glance ~ " Dreamy Affairs Signature Events"

When Leslie from Dreamy Affairs Signature Events calls...we are there for her.  As one of Columbia's Premier Wedding Planners, Leslie's planning never stops.  When Leslie needed our help staging her vendor booth at this summers Bridal Show with only 48 hours to spare, we were there.  Dreamy Affairs Signature Events insights romance and this is what we wanted to help Leslie capture at the show with her booth.  Front and Center brides were captivated by the rich use of subtle colors and whimsical features.

The centerpiece, a white Manzanita Tree, dripping with long crystal strands and a single small fuchsia butterfly perching on a branch. A tall reflective silver pot acts like a mirror capturing images of all the sparkling tableware. Crackled Glass Wine & Water Goblets and tall Opalescent Champagne Flutes glisten as the crystal votive holders flicker with vanilla scented candles.  Ivory China sit atop round mirrored chargers. A cluster of fuchsia glass grapes rests in the center soup plate.  A playful spot of color.

The Linen a with a popular champagne rosette overlay pulled up and pinned between each placesetting to reveals the rich champagne iridescent crush taffeta floor length beneath. Gold Chivari Chairs with Ivory Chair Pads complete this romantic tabletop.

Modern floor lamps with Ivory shades and White up lights cast illuminated textures as it reflects along white taffeta with Ivory chiffon drape overlays and 10 foot crystal curtains.  Champagne swag, up and over creates the picture perfect back drop to this romantic setting.

We packed a punch in to this 10' x 20' foot booth space.  And as hoped the brides thought is was the most romantic space at the Bridal Show!  Simply Dreamy!
