Part 1: A Year at a Glance ~ The Bridal Show

What can I say after many years creating and producing events in Las Vegas my husband and I did not know exactly what to expect to find here in Columbia, South Carolina.   What or should I say who came our way was quite remarkable really.  A wonderful woman named Dorothy called up one morning asking us to come see some meeting space and so we did.  After a terrific site visit of some beautiful space found at The Medallion Center, we were asked if we wanted to help design a distinguished vendor booth space for the up coming Bridal Show in January of this past year.  Playing off of the rich Chocolate, Vibrant Teal and subtle Champagne color palate of the Center we designed a distinguished space that brought them many on lookers and amateur cell phone~ographers... as I call...them, eager to snap a photo of their favorite bit of the design.
Set as an intimate table for four guests, this tabletop boasts layers of decadent and intriguing items to marvel at.  Beginning with the Champagne Floor length Crepe Back Satin Linen, topped with Chocolate Embroidered Organza and Satin Table Runners.  The place settings layered first with Square Basket Woven Chargers then topped with Teal Square China patterned with rich brown cherry branches.  Next Champagne Opalescent Salad Plates... reminiscent of vintage carnival glass.  Set just inside the salad plate was a tiny trivet of round wooden disks designed by my husband and threaded together to allow the perfect place for the matching soup bowl and a small satin, jeweled favor box nestled inside as a lovely party favor to the guest.

The Glassware unique in it's own right was a mix of modern and classic with clear crackle glass wine and water goblets and opalescent champagne flutes and tiny cordial glasses to match. The flatware a simple modern pattern in polished silver. A Chocolate Satin Napkin draped to the chair to finish this lush look.

A stunning centerpiece with four components again mixing the vintage and modern bohemian flare that I love to add were placed on a custom made oak riser. A tall teal Viking glass abstract vase sports a bit of whimsy with long peacock flumes, next to that a mosaic cylinder vase with hints of teal, champagne and dark brown glass hold a vanilla pillar candle.  The flowers were arranged in a teal vintage pedestal candy dish and designed with cream colored floral to contrast with floral textures of  baby antique roses, vandella roses, spider mums, bright green hypericum berries and draping eucalyptus leaves.  Small teal crystal beads and peacock feather spurs peak out through the floral for sparkle and interest.   And lastly tiny square votive holders with teal candles to add a bit of candle light romance.

Mahogany Chivari Chairs with Crushed Velvet Cushions in Chocolate Brown surround the table.
Each Chair was dressed in a flowing champagne chiffon chair cap with skirt & Sash to the floor. Each a bow of chocolate brown satin and a custom made brooch to add bit of bling.....

Naturally needed a bar, so I custom designed an oak and chocolate leather pintuck bar that my husband crafted and added modern feature decor bar back to boost many trinkets to guests to talk about.
The booth would not be complete without food from Tronco's Special Events.  Their Roasted Quail Breast Caesars Salad served in a tiny martini glass was spectacular, so what better setting then to have the tiny glasses perched next to one over sized martini glass filled with none other than quail eggs!

To finish off the complete look in this10 x 20 foot space.
Drape in Chocolate Crushed Velvet, Champagne Satin Swag,
Champagne Crystal Curtain Overlays, Amber up lights, green foliage
and caramel colored carpet.

We packed quite a punch in such a small space, and the end result was magnificent! The client had a winning turn out!

Thank you to The Medallion Center Home of Tronco's Special Events for  letting us run with our idea and producing it at such an important client event!
