Part 7: A Year at a Glance ~ Pawmetto Lifeline at Mo'Mo's

I received a call one summer afternoon by the marketing director at MoMo's, inquiring about Hawaiian props for a Luau Themed event that MoMo's Bistro was sponsoring for Pawmetto Lifeline.  Having two rescue dogs of my own, how could I resist. I was thrilled to be part of this worthy cause and had heard great things about Mo'Mo's.  Then nothing...  I had no more correspondence regarding the event and thought that they must have gone a different direction when five days before the event date I got the frantic call!  We need help, what can you do?  We headed over to meet Sean (one of the owners) and of course have the amazing Sunday Brunch !  The restaurant inspired a very classy Luau decor theme and also inspired old feelings of my restaurant days as Executive Chef of Bistro K in Beverly Hills, a quaint, romantic, French style bistro much like MoMo's.  The event was to take place on the outdoor patio.  A beautiful setting and made our job easy.  All we needed to do was bring in the Hawaiian Pretty !!!

The guests were treated to, none other then a Hawaiian Red Carpet Entry, and our Modern Silouette ~ Hula Girl.  Upon Entry each guest received a Hawaiian Lea to get into the spirit.  MoMo's provided amazing food while we garnished buffets with large authentic Shells, Giant Hand carved Fish and Coral Pieces added to the Big Island Festivities.
On the Patio, crisp white linen and cylindrical vases alternated tables, some filled with submerged Cymbidium Orchids in Fuchsia and Bright Green others with beautiful seashells each topped with floating candles for a touch of elegance.

Lighting included small Tiki torches, Our exclusive Tiki cubes and warm glowing amber up lights.

We brought in lacy date palms and 50 tropical style plants to enhance the hanging baskets already in the space.

A few Hawaiian Plantation style vignettes with fresh Coconuts, Papayas, Pineapples and Bananas helped add to our Tropical Theme

Once again our Chocolate Leather Pintuck Bar makes another appearance,  front and center, enhanced with Flame pots, Giant Seashells, Colorful Coral and Tropical Candles. A soloist on Ukulele playing Hawaiian tunes. And we can't for get the most important thing.  The tropical smell of Coconut as we made sure to lite the incense at precisely the right moment.

All the guests including our four legged friends came in Hawaiian Party Fashions.  It was a terrific event !

Thank you to Sean and the staff at MoMo's for this fun evening!  We couldn't have been happier to come through just in time!
